NORTH AURORA – Small businessman and State Rep. Keith Wheeler (R-Oswego) has received his committee assignments for the 99thGeneral Assembly with the legislative session set to resume on February 4.
A small business owner for 24 years, former Chairman of the Illinois Leadership Council of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and former Board Chairman for the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce, Rep. Wheeler has won a spot on the Labor & Commerce; Consumer Protection; Public Utilities; and Transportation: Regulation, Roads and Bridges Committees, respectively, in addition to the Special Committee on Restorative Justice.
“Keith Wheeler’s lifetime experience as an entrepreneur and real world knowledge of the challenges facing job creators in Illinois will be a tremendous asset in helping our caucus move Illinois forward,” said House Republican Leader Jim Durkin (R-Western Springs).
“I am eager to begin work on my committee assignments, “said Rep. Wheeler. “For the first time in over 12 years, Republicans and Democrats share the responsibility of managing state government. “There is no limit to what we can accomplish as a state if we work together. My top priority is restoring Illinois’ competitiveness in the job market and expanding opportunity for local families.”

The District Office is open weekdays from 9:00am – 5:00pm. The 50th District includes portions of Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, Campton Hills, Elburn, Montgomery, Oswego, Plano, St. Charles, Sugar Grove and Yorkville.
